We recommend scheduling your child’s first visit around age 2. It can be beneficial for them to tag along with a parent or sibling during a prior appointment. This allows them to see how things work and become familiar with our team and office.

• We let your child set the pace. We never force or restrain children during their visit.
• If a child is hesitant at first, we take our time and gently guide them. Most kids warm up and allow us to complete a full exam over one or two visits.
• During their visit, we’ll perform a comprehensive exam, take X-rays (when appropriate based on age), and, when possible, do a gentle cleaning.

• Kid-Friendly Entertainment: We offer age-appropriate streaming shows and movies during appointments. It’s a helpful distraction that makes the visit more enjoyable.
• Comfort Options for Treatment: For more involved procedures like fillings, we offer nitrous oxide (laughing gas), which helps many children feel relaxed and calm throughout their appointment.
